Imagine your dog is on CSI, working alongside police agencies to find clues to cases and mysteries. In scent work, your dog is the star. The purpose of this event is to let your dog master that sniffer they have on their face. Cotton balls are saturated with oils including birch, anise, and clove. These balls are then hidden within a search area where the dog begins the adventure to find them. This sport also has a great handler element. The dog must find the cotton balls, but then must relay that information to their handler who calls it out to the judge. You and your dog are a detective team!
