BArn hunt
In barn hunt, a barn-like setting is created using hay bales. Then rats—safely protected in aerated tubing—are hidden throughout the hay. The goal of barn hunt is to see how well your dog can hunt down these hidden rats. This sport will test your dog’s instinct, surefootedness, and speed. Any dog can participate regardless of their vermin-hunting history. One aspect that makes this sport so fun as a handler is that you are judged on your ability to identify when your dog has found the rat. This means you grow to understand what your dog is trying to tell you when they paw at a hay bale or sit down next to nothing, waiting for you to respond.
